Za’Quan Bryan is a rising defensive back for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, known for his versatility, speed, and leadership on and off the field. A native of Savannah, Georgia, Bryan developed his game at Benedictine Military School, where he excelled as a two‑way player and helped lead his team to back‑to‑back state championships in 2021 and 2022. Over his high school career, he amassed more than 5,000 all‑purpose yards and scored 43 touchdowns, earning a reputation as one of Georgia’s most dynamic athletes.

Bryan joined the University of Minnesota ready to compete and contribute. After seeing his first action as a freshman in 2023, he stepped into a larger role in 2024, appearing in all 12 games and recording 19 total tackles, five pass breakups, and a memorable 32‑yard interception return against Virginia Tech. His athleticism and sharp instincts have quickly made him a key part of the Gophers’ secondary.

Off the field, Bryan remains deeply connected to his roots. He often returns to Savannah to mentor and inspire young students, encouraging them to stay focused on education and character.
